Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026. Applies to every CBASCo app and to cbasco.com.

Who we are

This privacy policy is published by CBASCo, the developer named on our app store listings and the operator of cbasco.com. If you have any question about this policy or about how an app of ours handles your data, email us at [email protected]. We answer privacy inquiries within 30 days.

What this policy covers

This is the single privacy policy for:

  • Every app published under the CBASCo developer name, whether installed from an app store or downloaded from this website, on any platform. Each app links to this page from inside the app and from its store listing. An app does not need to be named here to be covered: if CBASCo published it, this policy applies to it.
  • The cbasco.com website.

The short version

Our apps do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal data. They have no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party code that collects data. Any data an app reads from your device is used on your device, for the feature you are using, and never leaves it. Everything below is the long form of that sentence.

Our apps

The standard every CBASCo app is built to

Rather than describe each app separately, we hold every app we publish to the same rules. An app that carries the CBASCo name:

  • Has no user account, sign-in, or registration.
  • Contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking code, and no third-party software development kit (SDK) that collects data.
  • Sends no personal data off the device. CBASCo operates no server that our apps report to. Where an app has no reason to use the network, it has no network access at all.
  • Reads data on your device only for the feature in front of you, only after you grant the permission, and processes it on the device.
  • Does not read, store, or transmit persistent device identifiers (such as IMEI, IMSI, or SIM serial number), the advertising identifier, or the app set identifier.

If a future app of ours ever needs to depart from any of these rules, that app will be listed by name in the Exceptions section below before it is released.

Data we collect

None. We do not receive your contacts, call history, messages, location, photos, files, device identifiers, usage data, or anything else from any of our apps. There is nowhere for it to go.

Data our apps may access on your device

Some apps need to read data that is already on your device in order to do their job. That access goes through the operating system's runtime permission system: the app explains what it needs and why, you grant or refuse it, and you can revoke it at any time in your device settings. Each app's store listing states exactly which of these it uses. Across all of our apps, the categories are:

Permission Why an app would use it Where the data goes
Contacts To show, search, or dial the people you have saved. Read on the device when displayed. Not copied, not sent.
Call log and phone To show recent calls, place calls, or act as your default phone app. Read on the device when displayed. Not copied, not sent.
Location, including in the background To respond to where you are or how fast you are moving, such as detecting that you are driving even when the app is not open. Evaluated on the device at the moment it is read. No history kept, nothing sent.
Camera and microphone To capture a photo, scan a code, or record audio for a feature you start. Stays in the app's storage on your device, or wherever you choose to save it.
Photos, media, and files To open, edit, or save files you choose. Stays on your device.
Notifications, overlay, and accessibility To show reminders, place a screen in front of other apps, or respond to how the device is being used. Used to control the app's own behaviour on the device. Nothing recorded, nothing sent.
Physical activity and sensors To detect motion such as walking, driving, or the device being picked up. Evaluated on the device at the moment it is read. Nothing sent.

An app requests only the permissions its features need. If an app of ours asks for something not on this list, this policy will be updated to describe it before that app is released.

How we use data

Only to provide the feature in front of you, on your device. We do not use any data from our apps for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any other secondary purpose.

Who we share data with

Nobody. Our apps contain no third-party code that collects data and send no personal data anywhere, so there are no advertising networks, analytics providers, or other parties receiving anything.

One note for completeness: when you install an app through an app store, the store's operator may collect installation, device, and crash information under its own privacy policy, and may show us aggregated, anonymous statistics about installs and crashes. That data is collected by the store, not by our apps, and nothing in it identifies you to us.

Security

Because nothing is transmitted, there is no data in transit to protect. Data the apps work with stays inside the app's private storage and the standard system protections on your own device. There is no CBASCo server, database, or backup holding a copy of it.

Retention and deletion

We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. The only data an app keeps is local to your device (for example, a favorites list or your settings), and you remove it completely by uninstalling the app or by clearing the app's storage in your device settings. There is no copy anywhere else to delete.

Accounts and account deletion

Our apps do not offer or require accounts, so there is no account to create and none to delete. If an app of ours ever adds accounts, it will be listed in the Exceptions section below, it will provide an in-app deletion option, and this website will provide a deletion page, all before that app ships.

Children

Our apps are general-purpose utilities and are not directed at children. Because they collect no data from anyone, they collect no data from children.

Exceptions

None. Every CBASCo app currently published follows the standard above in full.

The cbasco.com website

This website is a set of static pages. It uses no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies, and no social media embeds.

  • Contact forms. When you submit a form on this site, the name, email address, and message you type are sent to Web3Forms, a form-processing service, which delivers them to us by email. We use them only to reply to you. We keep that correspondence for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any work that follows from it, and we delete it on request.
  • Server logs. Like any web host, our hosting provider (IONOS) records standard technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, in server logs used for security and operation. We do not use these logs to identify or track visitors.
  • Downloads. Downloading an app from the Free Tools page requires no signup and records nothing about you beyond the server log entry above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal data about you, or to object to its processing. In practice, our apps hold no data about you for us to act on. For anything related to this website, including deleting past correspondence, email [email protected] and we will take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how an app or this website handles data, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be reflected in the affected app's store listing. The current version is always at https://cbasco.com/privacy.html.
